Danish junior rider Victoria Vallentin has lost the ride on her number one horse Geisha. The 12-year old Danish warmblood mare (by Gribaldi  x Heslegårds Weltmeister) sold to the Rothenberger family.

Bred by Svend Jensen, Geisha was started as a youngster by Rikke Tønnesen, but Maria Falkner Hansen took over the ride in 2010 and competed the mare at M level until the summer of 2012. In September 2012 Geisha sold to Andreas Helgstrand and his assistent trainer Andrea Woodward competed the horse nationally in Denmark at Prix St Georges level in April 2013.

Danish junior Victoria Vallentin first began competing the horse for Andreas in March 2014 and the pair made its international junior riders' debut at the 2014 CDIO-J in Hagen in June. Vallentin and Geisha swept the junior riders' tour, winning all three classes with seventy percentage marks and two weeks ago they won the 2014 Nordic Baltic Championships.

"We sold Forlan (by Jazz x Highline) to Andreas Helgstrand and found out then that he owns the exceptional mare Geisha," Rothenberger explained. "Geisha impressed everyone in Hagen under Victoria Vallentin, who is supported by Andreas and she always gets horses from him to ride. Since then we couldn't get the mare out of our minds. She's not only a super sport horses but without a doubt also dad's breeding ideal: black, Gribaldi x Silvio, it says enough."

The Danish equestrian federation lists Geisha's dam sire as Heslegårds Weltmeister but on recent score sheets the mare was listed with Silvio I as dam sire.
