Three time Dressage Olympic representative Kristy Oatley has been named on the dressage elite squad. Australian Dressage Selectors have confirmed Oatley will join the squad with her 14 year old bay stallion Ronan (by Riccione x Contender).

The combination have been competing at grand prix level since 2012 and have enjoyed a successful 2014 with a 6th placing at Vidauban CDI3* in the GP Freestyle to music with a score of 70.800% as well as a 3rd place in the GP Freestyle to Music with a score of 71.825% at Kapellen CDI3* earlier this year among other results.

A combination’s appointment on the elite squad does not guarantee it a position on the team for WEG and all combinations still need to meet the requirements of the dressage WEG selection policy in order to be eligible for selection to the Australian team.

On 24 June Australian Dressage Selectors already announced that the German based Olympian is an Australian WEG Short listed rider in the running for a team spot for the 2014 World Equestrian Games.
