Based on the recommendations of Spain's technical dressage director Luis Lucio and Spanish youth team trainer Nicky Barrett, the Spanish Equestrian Federation has selected the teams that will represent Spain at the 2014 European Championships for Junior and Young Riders held in Arezzo, Italy, on 11 - 15 July 2014.
Based on results achieved at this national and international show season and the riders' performances at the training camp, Barett was able to make a team recommendation. The final observation event took place last weekend at the 2014 Spanish Grand Prix Championships in Can Alzina.
The Spanish Junior Riders team includes:
- Catalyna Makhmudova - Alandro
- Paula Matute - Firmamento
- Juan Matute - Dhannie
- Kevin Roegele - Wieske
The junior reserve riders are Anna Comas (Furstenau) and Lara Perez (by Walker)
The Spanish Young Riders team includes:
- Josep Bassols - Dustin
- Laura Mangado - Tempo
- Maria Dolors - Moncayola - Zchufro C
- Cristina Torrent - De Vic
The young rider reserves are Antonio Laiz (Levin) and Cocha Navarro (Dimero).
