Hagen is Ready for the Dance: 2014 Horses & Dreams, the Brazilian Way

Wed, 04/02/2014 - 12:00
2014 CDI Hagen

The well-established horse show Horses & Dreams is known for extensively integrating its host country with heart and mind. This year, the Kasselmann-event in Hagen at the Teutoburg Forest will provide a lively outlook at the World Championship-country Brazil. And this of course includes football!

The freestyle-duo “Jacek – dancing with the ball” and Julian Hollands count among the best-known jugglers, presenting a breathtaking show during the Brazilian night on Friday evening. Besides a number of television appearances on German TV, Jacek already demonstrated his brilliant skills in TV ads together with Ronaldinho or Miroslav Klose.

Tangará Brasil Dance Group has specially developed a show program for Horses & Dreams meets Brazil, taking the audience from the stadium in Hagen to the world of carnival in Rio. The dance tricks are based on traditional Brazilian dances, ranging from Afro-Brazilian dance to samba-reggae and forró, lambada and frevo. Friends of the famous fighting dance capoeira will also enjoy the presentation. The show program is combined with Brazilian equitation with the Excalibur Horse Show on the one hand and “walking acts” through the lifestyle exhibition on the other hand. Such show presentations are of course a “must” in the Brazilian night on Friday evening. Dancers with awesome costumes, drum formations, lots of rhythm, the national beverage caipirinha and culinary delicacies guarantee a pulsating Brazilian atmosphere.

The live band „Tropics“ and DJ Ralf Burnett will be responsible for cool hits and hot rhythms. The band SMILE will be the live act at the party night on Saturday. The music fanatics from Osnabrück give chartbreakers a special touch and promise a fantastic show, seasoned with parodies. “We again found outstanding partners and are looking forward with great pleasure to a promising, exciting event,” host Ullrich Kasselmann explains.

The Brazilian village provides insight into the culture of the country. Artists with paintings, crafts and jewelries fly in from Brazil especially for Horses & Dreams, inviting visitors to enjoy and to participate. Music and dance are also part of it, just as the national dish “feijoada”, cigars and original samba costumes. Mangalarga Marchador and the tough criollos present the Brazilian horse breed in specially set up paddocks, providing insight into the main use of horses in Brazil.
