Holsteiner Breeding News

The Holsteiner licensed stallion Exposé passed away on 23 February due to a heart attack. The grey stallion was only 17 years old.

Bred by Fritz Skerra, Exposé was by Exkurs x Landlord x Raimond x Malachit x Kadett and descended from the breeding line 2966.

Expose was born in 1997 and did most of his covering while he was standing at stud at the Brandenburg State Stud in Neustadt/Dosse from 2002 till 2006. At the same time he was trained by Christian Flamm, who competed the grey beauty at national small tour level.

In 2007 Exposé sold as a sport horse stallion to junior/young rider Romina Hoyzer. The stallion's sport career ended in 2012 due to an injury. In 2013 he returned to a breeding career and stood at stud in Niemegk-Neuendorf.

Exposé only bred to a limited number of mares. No less than 14 of his 40 daughters achieved the State Premium title which is a very high number. The 2011 South German licensing champion Belantis is out of an Exposé dam and is now in training with Beatrice Buchwald at Isabell Werth's yard.

Exposé's most famous offspring in sport include the small tour horses Elliot (Jochen Vetters), Enny Lane (Peter Hameteeman) and Pamela (Anja Hermelink).
