Ingrid Klimke's Dresden Mann will not be appearing in the show ring any time soon. The 10-year old black Westfalian gelding has been sidelined due to an injury.

Klimke and Dresden Mann (by Dresemann) were supposed to make their international outdoor show debut in 2014 at the CDI Hagen in April, but the rider has been forced to cancel those plans.

"During training it became obvious that Dresden Mann will not be able to cope health-wise with the demands of a successful Grand Prix season," Klimke explained. "Therefore I have decided, together with owner Clodagh Wallace, not to compete in Hagen. To recover completely Alfi is now spending time in the field."

The Westfalian gelding Dresden Mann is bred by Hubert Vornholdt and owned by the British Clodagh Wallace, who manages Tim Curry of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Dresden Mann is the recipient of the 2013 Otto Lorke Prize awarded to most successful developing Grand Prix horse in Germany that year. Klimke and the gelding finished fourth in the kur at the 2013 German Dressage Championships in Balve.
