Winter Equestrian Nights proudly presents the 2014 Dressage Gala at the equestrian centre Azelhof in Lier, Belgium, on Sunday 2 February 2014. The Dressage Gala features FEI level competition, a clinic with Adelinde Cornelissen and Coby van Baalen, a BWP Dressage Team demonstration and an auction of dressage horses.

The fabulous accommodation of Azelhof is the perfect setting fo rpresenting the quality of the Belgian dressage horses.

The day starts with an Intermediaire I kur to music competition, following by the Under 25 Grand Prix class as well as an international selecion trial for Belgian riders to obtain the possibility to compete at Grand Prix level aboard.

The well-knowm dressage champion Adelinde Cornelissen will present a training show offering tips and tricks to the riders and crowds.

The Premium Auction will take place in the afternoon.  Twenty-four horses of the highest quality will be presented in the arena.  The auction selection team (Adelinde Cornelissen , Sjaak Van Der Lei, Stephanie Vanthiegem and Dominique Wouters) picked top quality. A few examples of the auction collection include Rocazino, the Scandinavian champion of the 6-year old horses, as well as the the full sister of approved stallion Galliani Biolley (by Sir Donnerhall I x Lanciano).

After the auction the Belgian Warmblood (BWP) dressage team will demonstrate its skills.

To conclude the day, Dutch Olympic team rider Coby Van Baalen will be conducting a clinic. She will show us how to transform a young horse into a high quality star.  Van Baalen will be coaching several more experienced horse-and-rider combinations in this clinic, including her student Belgian Grand Prix rider Delphine Meiresonne.
