Eleven Premium Stallions at the 2014 South German Stallion Licensing

Eleven stallions received the premium status at the 2014 South German Stallion Licensing in Munich, Germany, on 23 - 25 January 2014. A collection of 75 stallion appeared in the ring for licensing, 33 were approved of which 19 were dressage stallions; 11 became premium.

The South German Stallion Licensing Committee does not proclaim a licensing champion but the dressage premium colt by Destano x Rohdiamant became the price highlight of the auction. Bred by Robert and Petra Knott and owned by Martina Biermann, the Destano sold for 120,000 euro to the Czech State Stud.

Five more dressage colts received the premium. They are by Fabregas x  Riccione, by L'Espoir x Ehrentanz I, by Lord Leopold  x Lutz, by Rock Forever x Ferragamo I and by San Amour I x Fürst Heinrich.

The top selling show jumper was the Stakkato Gold x Lord Weingard offspring, which sold for 90,000 euro to the Moritzburg State Stud. Polish clients paid 80,000 euro for the Flipper d'Elle offspring.

The Neustadt/Dosse state stud bought the Blue Hors stud bred Zack x Rubinstein I for 67,000 euro.  Josef Wilbers of Ferienhof Stucker paid 70,000 euro for the Floriscount x Beluga.  A Cologne based dressage stable acquired the licensed Johnson x Rohdiamant for 79,000 euro.

The premium San Amour x Furst Heinrich had sold before the licensing to the state stud Moritzburg in partnership with Gestut Sprehe.

The 27 licensed stallions that were auctioned achieved an average price of 39,129 euro, the 25 non-licensed colts sold for an average price of 23,482 euro.
