The 17-year old Hanoverian licensed breeding stallion Weltjunge (by Weltmeyer x Matcho AA x Pik König) has been sold to Raimund Vorwerk in Germany.

Born in Germany 1997, Weltjunge was first licensed for the Oldenburg society in January 2000 and five months later approved for the Hanoverian society  in Verden. He completed his Stallion Performance Test in the autumn of 2000, finishing 4th out of 18 participating stallions.

Owned by Jens Peter Aggesen and Katrinelund, Weltjunge made his biggest fame as a breeding stallion in Denmark. He became a premium stallion at the Danish licensing and won the stallion performance test there. Weltjunge was never internationally competed but was proclaimed Danish Elite Stallion in 2009.

Weltjunge has a few offspring competing at FEI level; Skikkilds Weltwind (Heather Blitz), Overgaards Lawell (Pernille Ørum) and Weltliebe (Nanna and Sandra Merrald).

"Weltjunge has been a part of Katrinelund's stallion station for several years," said Per Skjaerbaek of Katrinelund. "Weltjunge was the last selected son of the legendary stallion. Since the death off Weltmeyer there has been a search for an replacement for Weltmeyer and there was no one more nearby than Weltjunge. He is sold to the German highly recognzed breeder, Raimond Vorwerk."
