During the final press conference at the 2013 CDI Mechelen on Saturday 28 December 2013, the managing director of the World Dressage Masters announced that the 2014 CDI 5* Vidauban will become a WDM station.

Vidauban will be the opener of the 2014 season and will be held from 5 - 9 March 2°14. The show is hosted at Bernadette Brune's Domaine Equestre des Grands Pins, which is located in the south of France near Saint-Tropez at the beautiful Côte d'Azur.

Sports director for Vidauban is Didier Ferrer who has also been appointed dressage manager of the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy.

President of the show and owner of Domaine Equestre des Grands Pins is Bernadette Brune. She is really happy to be the host of two important shows in the beginning of the outdoor season. "The first two weeks of March we will be hosting the FEI Nations Cup Dressage and the World Dressage Masters. Both shows will be part of our very successful Spring Tour. Some of the world's finest dressage riders have already competed at Domaine Equestre des Grands Pins so we feel very confident that our facilities match the highest standards in the world."

After Vidauban in March, the World Dressage Masters will move to  Munich (29 May - 1 June 2014), followed by Falsterbo in Sweden (5-13 July 2014) and Mechelen (26-30 December 2014). Each show carries a purse of 100,000 euro prize money.
