Australian Olympian Lyndal Oatley has finally found the horse she wanted to buy for her mom Carol's November birthday. After some hick-ups and issues with other horses, Lyndal found the perfect match in the 5-year old Swedish warmblood mare Diva.

"I'm so excited to have this lovely girl in the family," said Lyndal. "I am totally in love with her! I looking forward to spending some time with Diva before she heads home to Australia to be ridden by Judy Dierks. I finally found the perfect horse. Happy belated birthday mum."

Lyndal's husband Patrik Kittel, who rides Diva's dam Deja, said "for over 8 months Lyndal and I went through the entire of Europe to find the perfect horse, and have had some interesting experiences along the way. But we must say the wait was well and truly worth it as Diva has gone above and beyond what we where looking for in quality, attitude and personality."

The 5-year old Diva is by Richfield out of Deja (by Silvano N x Don Schufro) was owned by Sofie Freden and competed by Anne Svanberg. The combination represented Sweden at the 2013 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and finished seventh in the consolation finals.

The duo competed three years in a row at the Swedish Young Horse Championships. In 2011 they were 9th, in 2012 they were third, and in 2013 they finished fourth overall.
