Dark Fire, Price Highlight of the 2013 Winter Mixed Sales

The small tour level trained Oldenburg premium licensed stallion Dark Fire became the price highlight of the 2013 Winter Mixed Sales in Vechta, Germany, on 7 December 2013.

The Polish Malena Nash-Popowicz paid 140,000 euro for the 11-year old stallion (by Donnerhall x Feiner Stern x Aktuell) which was previously owned by Dietmar Knaup and the Dutch B. Wezenberg, who presented the horse at auction. Nash will keep the stallion in Germany, where she is training with Johann Riegler.

The second most expensive horse was the 3-year old dark bay gelding Strindbergh (by Sir Donnerhall I x Pink As x Maat I) which sold to France for 34,000 euro.

The black gelding Faberge (by Fifty Cent x Dream of Glory x Absinth) moves to a new yard in Lower Saxony for 26,500 euro.

The average price for a horse at the 2013 Winter Mixed Sales was 17,513 euro.
