The 2013 Equitana Sydney are about to kick off with the Equestrian Grand Final and a masterclass run by Carl Hester taking centre stage at the 2013 CDI-W Sydney on 7 - 10 November 2013.  The Equestrian Grand Final, with a major Australian line-up including Kiwi Vanessa Way, is an official world cup qualifier that is well attended by the dressage masses.

The Equestrian Grand Final offers Australia’s top riders the chance to take home one of the country’s most prestigious equestrian titles and a slice of the $70,000 in prize money.

Included is the current Australian dressage champion, along with other rising talent. If recent results from the 2013 Australian Dressage Championships are anything to go by, this year’s Equestrian Grand Final – Dressage will be another close affair.

Leading qualifier Sheridyn Ashwood will be brimming with confidence after claiming the 2013 Australian Dressage Champion title, while crowd favourite Rozzie Ryan will be vying for the crown as will husband Heath, who is a two time winner of this event.

The dressage finalists are Sheridyn Ashwood, Heath Ryan (qualified both Regardez Moi and Utopian Cardinal), Rozzie Ryan, Heath Ryan, Meagan Willis, Sue Hearn, Mark Arthur, Anjanette Harten, Nadia Coghlan, Jeremy Janjic, Mary Hanna, Maree Tomkinson, Vanessa Way, Cathy Chittenden, Chantel Wigan.

British Carl Hester will be delivering the Specialist Dressage Clinic at Equitana Sydney this year. While Carl has earned a reputation as one of the greatest dressage riders of our time, his incredible skill as a trainer is also acknowledged internationally. From winning Dressage Trainer of the Year in 1997 to coaching protégé Charlotte Dujardin to double gold at the Olympics last year, Carl continues to grow as a trainer.
