Friemel, Price Highlight of the 2013 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction

The 4-year old dark bay gelding Friemel (by Fidertanz x De Vito x Andiamo) became the price highlight of the 2013 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction in Verden on 12 October 2013.

The bay gelding, who won the 2013 Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships for mares and geldings in Verden, sold for a top knock down price of 200,000 and will move into Brasilian ownership but stay in training with Anabel Balkenhol in Germany.

The Hanoverian auction was a big success. While its top price did not match the one achieved at the Oldenburg Elite Auction in Vechta a week ago, no less than eight horses sold for more than 100,000 euro.

The second most expensive horse was the Westfalian (!!) licensed stallion Equitaris (by Estobar x Rubiloh), which sold for 175,000 euro and move to the yard of Schmitz-Heinen. Descada, a 4-year old bay mare by Desperados x Hohenstein, also sold to Westfalia for 170,000 euro.

Nadine Capellmann acquired the 6-year old bay mare Felice (by Furst Piccolo x Ehrentanz x Akitos xx) for 140,000 euro.

Chinese customers paid 155,000 euro for Cadanos, a 4-year old show jumper stallion by Catoki x Lordanos. The 6-year old black jumper mare Samoa (by Stolzenberg x Graf Top) sold for 130,000 euro to Sweden.

American clients bought Filou, a 4-year old bay gelding by For Compliment x Dimension x Mon Cheri, for 105,000 euro. British customers paid 100,000 euro for Shelby, a 4-year old jumper by Stolzenberg x For Pleasure.

American Grand Prix riders David Wightman and Kathleen Raine bought the 3-year old bay mare Billy Jean (by Benetton Dream x Warkant x Matcho AA) for 45,000 euro.

The top selling foal was the bay colt Diamond's Hit (by Diamond Hit x San Remo x Wilawander xx), which switched owners for 30,000 euro and will move to Gerkenhof.  German clients acquired the colt Der Dimaggio (by Dimaggio x Rouletto) for 16,500 euro while Swiss customers paid 16,000 euro for the bay colt New London (by Nabab de Reve x Argentinus).  American clients invested 15,500 euro to obtain the bay filly Dalija (by Desperados x Rotspon x Wolkentanz I).

The average price for a young sport horse at this auction was 43,804 euro; for a foal it was 6,644 euro
