The Hanoverian gelding and former licensed breeding stallion De Noir has been sold to California, U.S.A.  California based Norwegian Anne Solbraekke, a student of Mette Rosencrantz, acquired the black gelding as future small tour horse.

The Hanoverian branded De Noir is by De Niro out of Maharani (by Matcho AA x Akut) and is 13-year olds. He was initially licensed with the Hanoverian society in 2002 and became the champion of the 2003 Danish warmblood stallion licensing. The same year he did his stallion performance test in Denmark and was the best performer in dressage at the 30-day testing (score 914.7). He also did the 70-day performance test and obtained a score of 812.75 points.

De Noir was the youngest sire ever to receive elite status by the Danish breed society. In 2005 he sired Donna Negra, the Hanoverian Foal Champion of the year.

Owned by Kirstin Andresen and Ib Kirk of Katrinelund stallion station in Denmark, the stallion was trained and competed by Lotte Skjaerbak, Norwegian Isabel Bache and Anna Blomgren. In 2013 he was also briefly a potential ride for Norwegian junior Alexandra Andresen but he was then put up for sale as a gelding at Andreas Helgstrand's sales yard in Denmark.

Solbraekke is now getting familiar with her new horse before competing him next season. The pair is based at Rosencrantz' Mill Creek Equestrian Centre in Topanga, CA.
