Britain has put a substantial definite entry forward for this year’s international Hickstead fixture on 1 – 4 August 2013, which features the final leg of the inaugural FEI Nations Cup Dressage TM plus a CDI3* inclduding pony, junior and young riders' classes.

Eight teams are entered including the top three in the standings, namely the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany, Britain are currently fifth.

Britain’s team includes two combinations recently selected for the upcoming European Championships in Carl Hester (Uthopia) and Laura Tomlinson (Mistral Hojris) plus rider Michael Eilberg, but he partners Marakov, not his ride for Denmark, Half Moon Delphi. Gareth Hughes completes the quartet with DV Stenjkers Nadonna.

Laura Tomlinson recently had to scratch from competing at the 2013 CDI Lingen because her top ride, the 17-year old Danish warmblood gelding Mistral sustained a minor injury.

With 10 points for a win at 3* level, there’s all to play for to win this exciting new initiative.

In the CDI, spectators will have the chance to see double Olympic champions Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro in action. Plus, Carl Hester will ride Fine Time as well as some of Britain’s other top combinations.
