Swedish Grand Prix A-team rider Kristian von Krusenstierna has received the ride on the 10-year old Grand Prix prospect Languedoc as his 2016 Rio Olympic hopeful.

Through the help and support of Bo Eriksson, Jan Pallinder and Anna Endling, von Krusenstierna got the opportunity to ride the 10-year old Westfalian stallion by Laomedon x Francisco x Disco Star. The dark bay gelding is bred by Magdalene Hofer, owned by Anita Erikson Pallinder and competed at S-level in Germany by Wieger Derk de Boer.

"This will be a very exciting collaboration," Kristian explained. "To ride at the Olympics has always been a goal of mine and I had been searching for a horse for Rio. Languedoc is a horse with great potential and a natural talent for the most difficult movements. The combination of his nice temperament on the ground and his power in the show ring make it perfect."

Von Krusenstierna is an A-listed Swedish team rider with the 15-year old Swedish stallion Biggles (by Briar). He runs his own yard Agesta Riding School in Farsta, near Stockholm, and is trained by the Dutch Nicole Werner.
