Landolt, Top Selling Horse at 2013 Westfalian Spring Elite Auction

The 3-year old bay stallion Landolt became the top selling horse at the 2013 Westfalian Spring Elite Auction in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on Sunday 7 April 2013.

The stallion by Lissaro van de Helle x Landro is bred by Magdalene Post and sold for 70,000 euro.

The second most expensive horse was the 4-year old bay gelding Rock Royal (by Rock Forever x Florestan), which sold for 47,000 euro to Helmut von Fircks. the 6-year old bay gelding Don Allegro (by Dark Fire x Rosenkavalier) sold for a knock down price of 44,000 euro.

Two horses achieved a price of 40,000 euro: the 3-year old black stallion Amadeus (by Ampere x Donnerhall) and the 5-year old stallion Spirit of Westfalia (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall).

The top selling foal at this auction was the bay stallion Antonov (by Arpeggio x Cornet Obolensky) which switched owners for 6,200 euro. The colt Franzl (by Franziskus x Jazz Time) sold for 6,000 euro. So did the colt Rocktime (by Rock Forever x Florestan). 

A total of 35 young sport horses were sold at this auction for an average price of 21,824 euro. 20 foals were sold for an average price of 4,115 euro.
