Dutch junior rider Dana van Lierop and young rider Danielle Houtvast booked a repeat victory at the third leg of the 2012-2013 KNHS CHIO Cup in Boxtel, The Netherlands, on Sunday 17 February 2013. Van Lierop aced her division aboard her new ride Finest, while Van Houtvast and her Rambo made experience count in the young riders class. Both ladies also won the second leg in Assen.
Ruling European Junior Rider Champion Dana van Lierop saddled her new ride for the winter season, the 11-year old Westfalian gelding Finest (by Florestan x Parademarsch I). Scoring 74.5%. Van Lierop produced solid 9s on the score board for the tempi changes, shoulder in and rider's seat. Jasmien de Koeyer and the 13-year old Take it Easy (by Florestan x Castro) became the runners up with 69.46%, while brand new Junior Lotte Meulendijks and Parole (by Pasolongo) sloted in third with 69.01%.
Dutch Young Riders' team member Danielle Houtvast and her refined looking Rambo (by Gribaldi) produced a very solid round with the tempi changes as highlight and posted a score of 73.86% to win her division. Anne Meulendijks and her 17-year old Grand Prix schoolmaster Ohio (by Indoctro x Akteur) were on their heels with 72.28%, while Stephanie Jensen and the Swedish bred Heartbreaker (by Hertug x Happy Day) ranked third with 69.91%.
The next CHIO Cup Qualifier is in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 24 March 2013.
