Danish dressage horse breeder Joan Andreasen has reacted to the Donna Unique's Missing Million story which went viral yesterday.  The story about 900,000 euro being embezzled in the sale of her mare Donna Unique exploded on the internet.

Ridehesten.com interviewed Joan Andreasen, who confirmed she has received numerous sympathetic messages by phone and mail in the last 24 hours. "It have been very upsetting hours," said the breeder.

"I never sought out the Dutch journalist; they are the ones who contacted me," she stated. "When that is said, I have had the possibility to approve the article and everything in the article is accepted and can be verified by documentation and I am not wrongly cited in the text. I would like to underline, that we never communicated any figures or amounts, the journalist already knew them before he contacted me," Andreasen told Ridehesten.

"I am okay with paying commission; it has always been present in this world, the problems arise when it is handled as described in the Dutch article. It is fine that everyone benefits form a deal like this. But in this case it is done with a lack of ethics and to me ethic is a matter of honour. It is completely wrong that a man like Andreas Helgstrand with whom we own a horse tries to do what actually has been done in this case," declares Joan Andreasen.
