Serano Gold Sold to Great Britain

The Oldenburg licensed stallion Serano Gold has been sold to Jennifer Gilchrist and will be standing at her Romanno Stud in Scotland, Great Britain.

The 12-year old Serano Gold (by Sandro Hit x Grundstein II x Futuro) is bred by Willi Gering and was previously owned by Heinz Ahlers.

As a youngster Serano Gold made a brief claim to fame by become the reserve regional young horse champion in Oldenburg and finalists in the 3-year old stallion division at the 2004 Bundeschampionate under Heiko Klausing. In 2005 he did his Stallion Performance Testing.

Serano Gold qualified for the 2005 but make it to Warendorf. In 2006 Edward Gal took over the ride and briefly showed him in Germany. The stallion qualified for the 2006 Bundeschampionate, but for a second time did not go Warendorf. in 2007 Laura Hassler took over the ride. She competed Serano Gold up to M-level in 2011.

The stallion's most famous offspring so far is the KWPN registered and Swedish licensed stallion Cashmir, which competed with Danish Anders Dahl at the 2012 World Young Horse Championships in Verden. The Austrian bred Solitaire Gold (by Serano Gold) won the Austrian Young Horse Championships for 4-year olds.
