German Senior Grand Prix Teams for 2013 Announced

The dressage committee of the German Olympic Equestrian committee has grouped Germany's senior elite riders into teams for 2013. Both Ulla Salzgeber and Dorothee Schneider have been dropped from the A-team.

A month ago Salzgeber announced that she is giving her top horse Herzruf's Erbe a year break in the field to recover from injury. Dorothee Schneider's Olympic mount Diva Royal returned to its owner, Dorothee's student Stella Charlott Roth. Matthias Rath, who has only showed at two competition in 2012 is still on the A-team.

The 2013 German teams include:

A-team:

  • Anabel Balkenhol - Dablino
  • Helen Langehanenberg - Damon Hill NRW
  • Fabienne Lütkemeier - D’Agostino
  • Matthias Alexander Rath - Totilas
  • Kristina Sprehe - Desperados FRH
  • Isabell Werth - El Santo NRW und Don Johnson FRH.

B-team:

  • Sabine Becker - Lamarc WRT
  • Nadine Capellmann - Girasol and Elvis VA
  • Uta Gräf -  Le Noir
  • Christoph Koschel - Rostropowitsch NRW
  • Anja Plönzke - Le Mont d’Or
  • Hubertus Schmidt - Lento
  • Dorothee Schneider - Forward Looking
  • Brigitte Wittig - Biagiotti W
  • Wolfram Wittig - Bertoli W.

B2_team:

  • Marion Engelen (- Diego OLD
