The 3-year old black KWPN licensed stallion Enzo Ferrari Texel became the high scoring dressage horse in a small crop of only three that passed the 2012 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing, which concluded today in Stegeren, The Netherlands.

Owned by Egbert Schep and Ferienhof Stucker, the 1.82 m tall standing Enzo Ferrari (by Painted Black x Krack C x Jazz) scored 82 points to top his group in the 50-day performance test. He got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, and 8 for suppleness, self carriage, rideability and dressage potential.

The licensing committee described the stallion as "honest, reliable and very willing to work with a good attitude. Enzo Ferrari moves with much suppleness, a good self carriage and good balance." The stallion recommended for improving "rideability and correctness of gaits for dressage breeding. He seems to fit the best with long-lined mares."

De Dalhoeve's black El Capone (by UB 40 x OO Seven x Saluut) finished in second place with 80 points. He scored 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 9 for canter, 8 for suppleness, 7.5 for salf carriage and rideability and 8 for dressage potential.

The committee described him as an "honest and reliable stallion with a good attitude. He has much willingness to work and is good to ride though varies in the contact. El Capone has a good movement technique, is lightfooted and has much suppleness. He should have a bit more front when moving." The stallion is recommended for mares to imporve "movement technique in trot and canter. He seems to fit best with mares with sufficient length in the front."

The third ranked stallion is G.W. van Norel's bay colt Expression (by Vivaldi x Vincent x Apollonios xx) which finished on 77.50 points. He got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 7 for canter, 8 for suppleness and self-carriage, 9 for rideability and 7.5 for dressage potential. The committee described him as "an honest and reliable stallion with a very good attitude. He has much willingness to work and is very trainable. In movement the stallion is expressive in front with a good front leg technique but the hind leg could carry more." This stallion is recommended to improve rideability, front and suppleness. He seems to fit best to riding horse built mares with a correct hind leg."
