The stallion licensing committee of the Oldenburg society picked out 48 dressage colts at the pre-selection days for the 2012 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing, which is set to take place 21 - 24 November 2012.

A huge number of 2,5 year old colts were presented at four pre-selection days between 12 - 16 October at the Oldenburg equestrian centre in Vechta, Germany. The committee was picky and selected 48 out of 164 stallions entered.

This year Paul Schockemohle and Lone Boegh Henriksen's 2009 Oldenburg Licensing Champion Furstenball (by Furst Heinrich x Donnerhall) presented his first crop of colts for licensing, but only five sons were scheduled to appear at the viewing day and only one (out of a Donnerschwee x Alabaster mare) has been selected for the November licensing.

Two stallions have four sons selected for the licensing, Furst Romancier (by Furst Heinrich x Romancier) and San Amour (by Sandro Hit x Plaisir d'Amour). Sir Donnerhall II has three offspring selected, as well as Gribaldi and Desperados. Two KWPN sires have two colts going to the licensing: Bordeaux (by United) and Vivaldi (by Krack C).

The complete list of selected stallions can be found here.
