The Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Committee has selected 106 colts at several pre-selection days in Germany which are eligible to compete at the 2012 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing to be held 25 - 27 October 2012 in Verden, Germany.

Of the collection of 106 colts qualified for the stallion licensing, 71 of them are dressage bred and 35 have a show jumping pedigree.

On the first two weekends of September, the selection committee travelled through the whole breeding area for the pre-selection of stallion candidates. "The overall quality of the shown colts was excellent and promises an interesting event," said the press officer of the Hanoverian Verband.

The stallion licensing and the stallion sales will be the highlight of the Hanoverian breeding year, not only breeding enthusiasts but also for trainers and riders from Germany and abroad. The career of many top dressage horses started in Verden. Olympic silver medallist Desperados  will present a considerable number of offspring, among them a full brother to the winning mare of the 2011 Herwart von der Decken-Show, state premium candidate Delany.

Belissimo M is also represented by a huge number of offspring, this year also by his first grandson. Bonifatius, Bentley, Barclay, Cristallo, Floriscount, Royal Classic and Salut Bonheur celebrate their debut this year.

Furthermore, the "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2012" will be crowned at the event on Saturday.
