Gianna RR became the price highlight of the 2012 Swiss Warmblood foal auction in Fehraltorf, Switzerland, on 1 September 2012. The Hot Spirit x Rubinstein I foal sold for 30,000 Swiss Francs, which approximately 25,000 euro.
Bred by Hansruedi Ruesser, the former president of this foal auction, Gianna RR sold to Carlo and Salome Schuler. Contrarily to other years, the dressage foals sold better than the jumper foals at this auction.
The second highest knock down price was 20,000 CHF (16,655 euro), which was paid for two more dressage foals. The super moving chestnut filly Diara CH (by Del Cuore x De Niro) sold to a Swiss stallion owner. GB Take if Easy (by Totilas x De Niro) sold to Beatrice Vollenweider.
The third most expensive foal was Desiderio del Cuore (by Del Cuore x Laurentio x Caprimond), which sold for 16,000 CHF to a Swiss duo of dressage enthusiasts. One of them also acquired Diara CH.
The average price for a foal was 9,953 CHF.
