The 5-year old Silbermond and Silver Black as well as the 6-year old First Kiss were the winners in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Westfalian Regional Championships in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on 26 July 2012. No less than 50 youngsters were transported to the "Westfalen Woche" show in an attempt to qualify for Warendorf.
Wibke Stommel-Hartmann and the Westfalian licensing champion Silbermond (by Sir Donnerhall x Ramiro's Son) dominated the 5-year old class for Westfalian bred horses. The pair scored a winning 8.1. after having received 8 for trot, 8.5 for walk and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Anke Simon and the dark bay Rocky Lee (by Rock Forever x Justinian xx) were the runners-up with 8.0. They earned 7.5 for trot, 8.5 for wal, 8 for canter, submission and general impression. Lydia Camp and the bay mare Felice (by Furst Piccolo x Ehrentanz) finished third with 7.8. This duo got 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for walk,7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
In the 5-year old division for non-Westfalian bred horses the Spanish Henry Brewah Granados Junior steered the Oldenburg stallion Silver Black (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) to first place with 8.2. The combination scored 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Sebastian Albers and the Hanoverian gelding Solitar (by Sandro Hit x De Niro) were second with 8. The horse earned 8s for walk, trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Johannes Westendarp and the Oldenburg gelding Julius, which is bred by Eva Möller, finished third with 7.8. The gelding for 7.5 for trot and canter, 8 for walk, submission and general impression.
In the 6-year old division Antje Tepel and the Westfalian bred mare First Kiss (by Van the Man x Dollmann) scored 8.4 to top the leader board. The combination scored 8.5 for trot, 8 for walk, 8.5 for canter, submission and general impression. Oliver Oelrich and the Westfalian gelding Der Felix (by Damon Hill x Diamo) were second with 8.3. This duo got 8 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Heiner Schiergen and the Oldenburg mare Sandro Rubina (by Sandro Hit x Rubinstein) were third with 8.2. The judges awarded this combination 9 for trot, 8 for walk and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
