The 5-year old Diamond Song and 6-year old Furst Fugger became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the huge Oldenburg regional championships in Rastede, Germany, on Wednesday 18 July 2012. Forty 5-year olds and twenty-one 6-year olds gathered in the beautiful park of Rastede to contest Bundeschampionate entry tickets.
In group 1 of the 5-year old division Katrin Burger aced the class aboard Christin Vivian Lang's dark bay Oldenburg stallion Diamond Song. The Diamond Hit x Sandro Song offspring scored 8.5 for trot, 9 for walk, 8 for canter and 8.5 for submission and general impression, averaging a winning score of 8.5. Claudia Ruscher and Heinrich Rammsbrock's Oldenburg stallion Quam Libet (by Quaterback x Lauries Crusador xx) were the runners up with an 8.1 score. This pair got 8s for walk, trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Johannes Westendarp and his own Oldenburg gelding Julius (by Just Perfect) finished third with 7.8. Julia Castelli and the Hanoverian gelding Royal Bendix H (by Royal Blend x Morning Star) tied on third place.
In the second group of 5-year olds Nadine Corterier and the Oldenburg gelding Sammy Deluxe (by Samarant x Rohdiamant) topped the leader board with 8.4. They got 8.5 for trot and walk, 9 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Tessa Frank and Nymphenburg's Dandy (by Danone I x Royal Dance) were the runners-up with 8.0. They got 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. She tied in second place with Annika Slüter on the Oldenburg gelding Sir Cedric (by Samarant x Argentinus). This combination got 8 for trot and walk, 7.5 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
Before her departure to the 2012 Olympic Games, German team rider Kristina Sprehe saddled her father's Oldenburg licensed stallion Furst Fugger (by Furst Heinrich) and won the 6-year old division with him on a score of 8.4. The combination got 9.5 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Carolin Töpel and the Hanoverian Bellando were second with 8.2. They got 7.5 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 9.0 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Tom van der Linden and the Hanoverian Rolex (by Rotspon x Weltmeyer) were third with 8.1. This combination received from the judges a 7.5 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Three horses tied in fourth place with a score of 8.0: Ines Westendarp on the licensed stallion Furstenball, Johannes Westendarp on the Bundeschampionate finallist Bailador de Amor and Lukas Fischer on Furst Wilhelm.
