Carl Hester will not be competing his Olympic nominated horse Uthopia at the 2012 CDI Hartpury, even though he was initially entered for the event. Hester has decided to focus on coaching his student Dujardin at the show.

"I did a training Grand Prix at the weekend here and because of Charlotte and I always being drawn next to each other, she wanted me to help her properly as her last ride," Hester told Eurodressage.

The CDI Hartpury boasts a strong field of British Grand Prix riders as well as the Canadian Olympic team which has already arrived in Great Britain for their pre-Olympic campaign. New Zealand Vanessa Way is also making her last effort at qualifying for the Olympics in Hartpury.

The CDI Grand Prix is being held today and it's pouring rain there at the moment.
