The 7-year old KWPN licensed stallion Amazing Star has been sold to Japan. The bay Pavo Cup champion has been acquired by Tamiko Muramatsu, who has offered the ride on the horse to Yukiko Makino.

Bred by the Hendriksen family, Amazing Star is by Flemmingh out of Thalia Vrouwe (by Ferro x Donnerhall). His dam is the full sister to 2012 Dutch Champion Undercover. The dark bay stallion was owned by Joop van Uytert and Wegra Investment.

Under Theo Hanzon Amazing Star won the 2010 Pavo Cup Finals in Ermelo and the 2011 KWPN Stallion Competition at M-level. He also competed at the 2011 World Young Horse Championships but the pair got eliminated in the finals, after placing sixth in the preliminary round.

"This spring we had already sold Doi Doi Doi (by Vivaldi x Gribaldi) to the same stable," van Uytert explained. "These people were looking for a 7-8 year old with as goal Grand Prix and they like Doi Doi Doi so much that they came back to us. They tried Amazing Star with us and it clicked immediately so he sold quickly, but then you also have all the blood tests for Japan and those were fortunately all ok."
