The American city of Las Vegas and Mexican city of Guadalajara are bidding with the FEI for the allocation of the World Cup Finals in 2015. Both bids will be officially presented at the FEI Sports Forum to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 2 May 2012.

The FEI Dressage Committee has expressed a desire to organize future World Cup Finals earlier in the season as a late April date conflicts with outdoor shows.

This also implies that the Central European League, of which the qualifiers are held over summer and autumn with a League Final late in spring, needs reviewing.

For the 2013-2014 Western European League World Cup season, the FEI Dressage Committee secured the same venues as in 2012-2013. For 2014 Gothenburg would be held during Lyon's time slot as Lyon is the venue of the 2014 World Cup Finals.
