German debutants presented their ponies in an FEI pony class for the first time during the 2012 show season at the annual Rhinelander Pony Talent Search Competition in Hunxe, Germany, on 25-26 February 2012. The regional show at Gutshof Gluckauf is a meeting place for fresh pony blood and counts as qualifier for the German pony championships to be held at the same location in September.
Twenty-seven pony combinations gathered in Hunxe for the L-level pony test, which was judged by Ulrike Nivelle, Andrea Schmittert and Renate Rahmen.
The winner of the class was routinier Celine Konig on Dorn with a solid score of 70.513%. The rest of the competition followed in a distance. Anouk Wiemers and White Gold B were second with 67.949 and Wiemers also ranked third on her second ride Die Feine Chanel with 67.009%.
Quite a string of new combinations appeared in the show ring for the first time. See some of them featured in the photo gallery at the bottom of this page
