Katherine Bateson-Chandler's Grand Prix horse Rutherford has been sold to Debra Davis. The bay KWPN gelding was the first horse sponsor Jane Forbes Clarke acquired for Bateson to ride back in 2008.

The pair was highly successful at Prix St Georges/Inter I level and made its Grand Prix debut in 2012 though the horse's talent and potential lay more in the small tour. At the 2009 U.S. Dressage Championships they earned bronze at that level.

"He will live in Ashley Holzer's barn being trained by Marie, a student of Ashley's," Bateson told Eurodressage. "He is my best friend and he was very hard for me to let go of, but it's the best thing for him to go on and teach someone the Grand Prix. I'm proud of him and my training. They love him and I visit him regularly but we miss him terribly."

Rutherford is a 1998 born Dutch warmblood gelding by Krack C out of Idylle (by Dior x Pantheon xx). The bay gelding is bred in The Netherlands by H. Speelman and was originally named Ravel's Monday. As a youngster he made it to the third phase of the KWPN Stallion Licensing.
