The 3-year old Danish bred Sezuan (by Romanov x Don Schufro) stood out in the 10-day Stallion Performance Test for 3-year olds on 12 - 22 March 2012. The testing started right after the 2012 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning.
The selectors described him as "very rideable and co-operative stallion which is unimpressed by his surroundings." His gaits were praised for the clarity in rhythm, ground cover and uphill tendency.
The Danish 10-day performance test for 3-year olds gives the licensing committee an idea of the stallion's behaviour during daily managment as well as a glimpse of their potential under saddle.
Sezuan was the star of the performance test with his phenomenal gaits. Bred by Linette Jaeger and co-owned by Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Andreas Helgstrand, the stallion did not make it to the premium ring at the licensing because he is positive for OCD.
The licensing champion Zorba Hojris (by Zack x Romanov) did not participate in the 10-day test. His owner Mette Würtz Andersen never expected him to become a licensing champion and the chestnut colt was hardly prepared under saddle. She acquired Zorba as a riding horse and she will not stand him at stud this season. The colt will be properly saddle broken in the spring and do the 35-day performance test in the autumn.
Two colts, which passed the performance test, received a comment for their "stalliony" behaviour: Schwarzgold and Blue Hors Fletcher.

Four dressage colts did not participate in the 10-day aptitude test: Dürrenmatt (by Hirtentanz x Exorbitant xx), Zorba Højris (by Zack x Romanov), Touché (by Tuschinski x Solos Landtinus) and Unique (by United x Worldly).
