British young rider Roberta "Bobby" Hayler has acquired the Grand Prix horse Luderitz as schoolmaster to enable her transition from small to big tour level via the Under 25 competition classes.

Luderitz is a 13-year old Holsteiner gelding by Laveletto out of Cosa Nostra. He was originally owned by Antonio Do Vale from Portugal. The bay gelding was previously competed by Mafalda Galiza Mendes at the 2007 European JR/YR Championships and by his owner at Grand Prix level. In recent years the horse was based in Great Britain and competed at Grand Prix level by French born but British based Michel Assouline.

"We are going to see how this partnership goes and what exciting things will happen together," Bobby told British Dressage. "He has such a great personality and is such an easy horse to handle - a real pleasure to have. I have already learnt so much from him and I'm looking forward to the future. He has fitted in so well. I feel like he's been here forever."

Roberta Hayler recently starting campaigning another new ride, the 21-year old routinier Active Walero (by Wanderer), in the Young Riders classes.
