The International Dressage Ridders Club (IDRC) has been invited to take a non-executive chair in the management of the World Dressage Masters, a global five star CDI dressage show circuit carrying the highest purse of all.

Wayne Channon, the Secretary General of IDRC, will take this position. The President of the IDRC is finish Olympian Kyra Kyrklund, with Nathalie zu Sayn Wittgenstein (DEN), Evi Strasser (CAN), Imke Schellekens-Bartels (NED, Hayley Beresford (AUS), Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (ESP) joining her on the board.

The IDRC was founded to mainly benefit the equestrian sport, uphold the spirit of good sportsmanship, to assist governing bodies and international organizers of dressage to improve the image of equestrian sport and to serve the prestige of the dressage riders, which mirrors the ethos and the vision of World Dressage Masters.

"World Dressage Masters is a true innovator in dressage," Wayne Channon told Eurodressage. "It has set the highest competition standards and has made contributions to structural improvements that we need.  The IDRC was delighted to be invited to participate in future initiatives."
