During the second day of the first viewing of 70 Dutch bred young dressage colts, the KWPN Stallion Licensing Committee picked out twenty which are allowed to move onto the second phase of the 2012 KWPN Stallion Licensing set to take place in 's Hertogenbosch in February 2012.
Seven sires -- Painted Black, Rousseau, Scandic, Sorento, Tuschinski, United and Uphill -- had two offsprings selected for the next round.
"It was a day with a lot of variation," said selection committee chair Arie Hamoen. "Some stallions earned his ticket to Den Bosch more because of his own performance, while others passed because their pedigree contributed in a good way. We've picked twenty fine colts which we would like to assess again in the next round."
The KWPN office marked the 1.77 m standing Enzo Ferrari Texel (by Painted Black x Krack C) as one of the most striking colts of the day. The well moving E Toi (by United x Jazz) and Easter (by Tuschinski x Ferro) stood out as well.
