2011 PSI Auction

This weekend the time has come for outstanding jumping and dressage horses to change ownership at the 32nd Performance Sales International in Ankum’s auction centre. Over the past few days the organizers, Ullrich Kasselmann and Paul Schockemoehle, have welcomed interested parties from literally all over the world. Somebody who buys a horse at the P.S.I. knows exactly what they want: top quality and the very best training.

The first presentation of the 25 horse dressage collection this past Saturday evening in Ankum made it clear how great the interest is: approximately 4,000 viewers used the live stream from 57 countries. The P.S.I. office was stormed by registrations and questions from world wide interested parties. The training progress of the individual horses, which were first captured on video this summer, was very impressive at the presentation with only a few months between the two appearances.

The complete dressage collection will be presented again on Wednesday December 7th at 6 p.m. (CET) as well as on Saturday December 10th. Alongside these further opportunities to see the horses in action, it will also be possible for clients to test the horses with the trainers present to answer any questions. The last opportunity to test the horses is on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (CET), just hours before the auctioneer Uwe Heckmann asks the buyers from around the world to open their wallets at 3 p.m. (CET)..

The dressage horses are between three and six years of age and come from the best pairings. A total of twelve Oldenburg and ten Hanoverian stallions, mares and geldings are included. The show jumping collection consists of four to seven year old horses from a total of six breeding areas, but the “lion’s share” are presented by the Oldenburg Show Jumper International. Progeny from successful stallions such as the past World Cup winner Baloubet de Rouet and Contender, Cassini and Cornet Obolensky, or Paul Schockemoehle’s Chacco Blue, are included in the line-up….
