Last week eight French elite Grand Prix riders were invited for  a training seminar in Hoya, Germany, where they were tutored by Hans Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen. Eight Grand Prix riders and fourteen horses participated in the clinic.

Chef d'equipe Alain Francqueville was pleased with the progress made at the clinic and was enthusiastic about this opportunity.

"This seminar was a success and they made decent progress," Francqueville told the French equestrian magazine Grand Prix Replay. "We're getting confirmation of our work system and progress with the horses. We've noticed that it's necessary to zoom in even further on the basic work to control the movements of the horse -- which speed, which activity, differences in tempo -- in order to build up the strength to modify the balance and expression. We need to learn and master those techniques which are seen at international level."

Francqueville confirmed that the positive response from the riders on the seminar is a confirmation that the project needs to be continued in the future.

The participating riders were Alexandre Ayache (Lautrec), Laurence Blaya (Galliano, Deauvillissimo), Vincent Guilloteau (Woodstock), Ludovic Henry  (After You, Nirvana XV, Chamiro van de Kampert), Jessica Michel (Riwera, Daimler, Socrate de Hus), Catherine Henriquet (Paradieszauber), Pierre Subileau (Talitie, Diamond for Ever), and Grégoire Siauve (Wisper).
