2011 Dronten Foal Auction
The bay colt Goldberg (by Amazing Star x San Remo) became the top seller of the foal auction in Dronten, The Netherlands, on 9 September 2011. Prices were quite moderate in Dronten this year except for this price highlight.
German Axel Schürner of stallion station Neuenhof in Nideggen acquired this best selling foal. He paid a staggering 70,000 euro for Goldberg. Schöner also acquired the price highlight show jumper Gomez (by Cantos x Voltaire) for 14,500 euro.
The second most expensive dressage foal was Generous (by Uphill x Havidoff) which sold for 9,000 euro to Huug de Koning.
The average price of a dressage foal was 7,071 euro but without Goldberg the price would have been 3,925 euro
