The list of stallions participating in the 2011 Westfalian Stallion Licensing pre-selection has been officially posted. A total of 410 stallions have been registered for the pre-selection days in Wickrath and Munster-Handorf the first two weeks of October 2011.
The pre-selection kicks off on 5 October 2011 with two, consecutive days of assessing of 2-year old Westfalian and Rhinelander branded colts in Wickrath, followed by four days in Munster-Handorf on 10 - 14 October 2011.
The best represented sire is show jumper and 2007 NRW licensing champion Coronas (by Cornet Obolensky) with 20 sons in the pre-selection. For dressage Sir Donnerhall I is the
dominating sire with 10 direct sons up for selection.
Sir Donnerhall I is followed by San Amour and Estobar NRW both with 9 sons. Fidertanz and Florenciano both have 9 while Lord Loxley, Quaterback and Schumacher have 7. Rock Forever follows with 6 sons.
Westfalian foundation stallion Florestan can be found three times as sire, and 23 times as grand sire or great grand sire in the dam line
No less than 18 Dutch registered stallions will be presented for Westfalian licensing.
