Novia and Wasabi OLD were the winning horses in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at Hofgut Allerer in Bavaria on 1 - 3 July 2011. The show was dominated by the Bavarian Grand Prix rider Victoria Michalke, who rode the winning youngsters in the L and M-level test.
Victoria Michalke and the bay Bavarian mare Novia (by Stedinger x Alabaster) bested the field in the 5-year old L-level dressage test. The mare scored a total of 8.5 with 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter and submission, and 9 for trot and general impression. Alfons Friedberger and the Hanoverian gelding Diego (by Desperados x Hohenstein) landed a second place with 8.2. His horse received 8s for walk, canter and submission and 8.5 for trot and general impression. Dr. Cornelia Herbert finished third and rode the third 5-year old that qualified for Warendorf. Aboard the Bavarian stallion Sammy Davis Junior (by San Remo x Wenckstern), Herbert got 7 for walk, 8 for submission and general impression and 8.5 for trot and canter. This averaged on 8.0.
Michalke also won the 6-year old division aboard the Oldenburg gelding Wasabi OLD (by Welt Hit IV x Lancer I). She scored a total of 8.4 to win the class. Her dark bay gelding got 8 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression. Alexandra Sessler and the Hanoverian mare Sedona (by Sir Donnerhall I x Warkant) were the runners-up with 7.7. They got 7.5 for walk, submission and general impression and 8 for trot and canter.
