Days after the announcement of Enno Hempel's resignation with the Hanoverian verband, the news spread that Dr. Gunther Friemel is leaving the socitety as well. The training and auction director of the Hanoverian Society will resign as of 1 September 2011.

According to Zuchter Forum, the resignation was "in mutual agreement" with Friemel and the board as he wants "to do something different professionally."

Friemel will stay in charge of the auction management until the end of August so that he can still lead the organisation of the Summer Auction in July and Elite Foal Auction in August.
