At the 2011 German Dressage Championships in Balve, the German Equestrian Federation has given its official support to Aachen as show organizer of the 2015 European Championships in dressage, show jumping, eventing, carriage driving, and vaulting.
Aachen show director (and FEI Dressage Committee chair) Frank Kemperman did not forget to thank his German competitor Hamburg, which is also launching a bid to host the 2015 European Show Jumping Championships. However, the German FN chose to support Aachen as venue.
The Aachen show organization will be focusing the next weeks on preparing a good concept which will be presented to the FEI at the end of July.
"This concept will be attractive on a sportice level and serious on a financial plane," said Michael Mronz, general manager of the Aachener Reitturnier GmbH. Mronz announced that visitors of this year's CHIO Aachen will already be warmed up for what might come in 2015.
