The Swedish Equestrian Federation had scheduled two selection trials in Eriksberg and Flyinge on 20 June 2011 for combinations who wish to compete for Sweden at the 2011 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, Germany, on 3 - 7 August 2011. Twenty-five horses had been registered to appear at these Swedish selection trials, judged by chef d'equipe Bo Jena and conformation judge Jan-Ove Olsson.
All listed 5 and 6-year olds will also compete in the Scandinavian Open at Falsterbo, Sweden, the first week of July. After this competition the actual team will be decided upon. Four horses will be selected per age division. One or two horses will be considered as reserves.
