The Danish warmblood licensed stallion UNO Don Diablo has been euthanized because of laminitis caused by a late detected hoof injury. UNO Don Diablo was bred by Stutteri UNO and owned by Bente and Jørgen Steen Jensen.

Danish equestrian magazine Ridehesten.com reported that UNO Don Diablo sustained a minor but painful injury to the right front leg on March 1. It was hard to find the cause of the problem and as time passed the stallion started to compensate with the left front leg and developed laminitis. This was so severe that the owners were forced to euthanize the horse. Through a necropsy it appeared that the initial injury was a bruised sole with subsequent bleeding and inflammation of the navicular bone.

The 2005 born Danish warmblood stallion is by Don Schufro out of UNO Frederica (by Falkland x Tannenberg). He was licensed with the Danish warmblood society in 2008. Trained by Thomas Lassen, the stallion competed at the 2009 Danish Young Horse Championships and finished fourth. At the 2010 Danish Young Horse Championships in Odense they were 11th in the consolation finals. UNO Don Diablo was a full brother to World Young Horse champion UNO Donna Unique.
