Capo and Blanc Pain won the qualification classes for the German Young Horse Championships held at the Rhinelander regional Bundeschampionate qualifier in Kurtscheid on 27 - 29 May 2011.
In the 5-year old dressage horse test, Vanessa Siep bested the field with the Holsteiner bred Capo (by Cracker Jac). She scored 8.2 and referred Alexandra Hidien on the Oldenburg Sir Hawk (by Sir Donnerhall I) to a second place 8.0. Andrea Vodermaier tied in that sport aboard Professor Dumbledore, a Bavarian branded Pasolongo offspring.
The 6-year old division was dominated by the Luxembourg based Danish Kristine Brinch Moller on the Trakehner bred Blanc Pain (by Peron Junior x Silver Moon). She scored 8.40 and left all competition far behind her. The German born Luxembourg rider Sascha Schulz finished second on the Hanoverian bred Sacre Coeur (by Sir Donnerhall I) with 8.06 while Moller also finished third on the Oldenburg Freak Blue Phantom (by Florencio) with 8.0.
Blanc Pain was bred and raised at Gestut Pallerhaff, Möller's employer in Luxembourg. The young Dane saw the colt grow up, saddle broke him and has heen his steady trainer and rider ever since. As a 3-year old Blanc Pain finished fourth at the Trakehner Championships in Hanover. He did his 70-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau and finished fifth wth 120 points. As a 6-year old he was licensed for the South German and Danish Trakehner society.
"He's a lovely stallion and I'm looking forward to showing him in Warendorf," Möller told Eurodressage.
