2011 Bundeschampionate Qualifiers

Rubinio, Furstenball and Baron de Ley W became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Hille, Germany, on Saturday 28 May 2011. A massive field of competitors assembled at the Hille event to qualify for the 2011 German Young Horse Championships, which even meant that the five year old group had to split into two.

The first group of 5-year olds was won by former German young rider Kristina Spaniol on her Westfalian gelding Rubinio (by Roh Magic x Philipo). The pair scored 8.1 narrowly edging out Johannes Westendarp on the American owned Bailador de Amor. Cheryl Wyllie's Breitling x DiMaggio stallion scored 8.0 to finish second. The top two ranked combinations were the only ones in group 1 to score sufficiently to qualify for Warendorf.

The tables were turned in the second group of 5-year olds as six horses obtained the 8.0 or higher selection criterium. The winner of the class was Ines Westendarp aboard the Oldenburg licensing champion Furstenball (by Furst Heinrich x Donnerhall x Classiker). Owned by Lone Boegh Henriksen and Paul Schockemohle, Furstenball scored 8.3 and pushe Helen Langehanenberg on Damon's Devine (by Damon Hill) to a second place with 8.2. Finnish Emma Kanerva and Save the Last Dance slotted in third on 8.10.  Three horses tied on fourth place with an 8.0 score. They were Anja Engelbart's De Champ (by Daddy Cool x Caprimond), Sandra Frieling's Royalito (by Royal Blend x Worldly) and Sabine Egbers' Seneca (by Stedinger x De Niro).

Brigitte Wittig and the home bred but British owned Baron de Ley W (by Breitling W x Diego xx) dominated the 6-year old dressage horse division by topping the leader board with 8.3. Olivier Oelrich and the Oldenburg Scho?ne Aussicht OLD (by Sandro Hit) finished second on 8.2 while Jenny Kitzing and Rex Peter (by Rosario x Classiker)  were third with 8.1. Two horses finished fourth on the same score of 8.0: Carolin Nowag and Diamond Child (by Dancing Dynamite x Brentano II) and Marita Pundsack on the Belgian owned QC Ruling Cortes (by Rubin Cortes x De Niro).
