Dutch dressage rider Judith Scholte passed away on 17 March 2011 following a hard-fought battle against cancer. The 50-year old Scholte leaves behind husband Marc and their daughter.

Aboard the bay KWPN geldoing On Top (by Jet Set D) Scholte was the 2003 Dutch Dressage Champion at ZZ-zwaar level. In 2004 she reconquered the title at small tour level. After a few Grand Prix competitions with her most successful horse On Top, Scholte sold the gelding to Leida Collins-Strijk.

In 2005 Judith and Marc acquired their own farm in Oene, The Netherlands, where they established their private brood farm and training facility. The duo trained young horses up the levels.

Scholte's funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon 23 March 2011 in Apeldoorn.
