1976 Swiss Olympic dressage champion Christine Stuckelberger invites all dressage enthusiasts to her two-day dressage seminar "Training of Dressage Horses: The Classical or Modern Way of Riding" in Elgg, Switzerland, on 5 - 6 March 2011.

The audience will be actively participating in the sessions as, for instance, Dr. Ulrike Thiel will be talking about the correct seat and invites volunteers to mount the model horse to work with her on the proper position in the saddle. The spectators will be divided in working groups and get the opportunity to judge tests and discuss their notes with the experts at hand.

Speakers at this seminar include

  • Frank Kempermann, FEI dressage committee chair. Theme: New Goals in Dressage?
  • Dr. Ulrike Thiel. Theme: The correct seat.
  • Dr. Anton Fürst, chief veterinarian at the university clinic of Zurich. Theme: signs of wear and tear in dressage horses
  • Martin Plewa, director of the Westfalian Riding School, former German eventing team trainer. Theme: Gymnasticizing the horse during winter
  • Béatrice Bürchler: O-judge
  • Bernhard Maurel: O-judge, former director French State Stud
  • Hans Riegler: former head trainer at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna

The seminar takes place at the Elgg Equestrian Centre on 5 and 6 March 2011 and starts each day at 9.30 AM.
Enterance Fee (for two days): 180 Swiss Francs (140 euro) and 90 CHF (70 euro) for one day
